Triple-I and AIRSS - successful conference beginnings ………..

 

Standing room only as AIRSS members poured out of the room in to the hallway, this was the result of our first ever-rural session at the IASB joint annual conference in Chicago Nov 2018. AIRSS was offered the opportunity to present in three formats at the recent Triple-I conference, including a carousel, and one-hour panel session and on Sunday morning at a coffee and conversation session. This was AIRSS 3rd coffee and conversation and a full room of rural school board members, Superintendents, and others enjoyed a full hour of questions directed at moderator Dave Ardrey, AIRSS executive director, Dr. Mark Twomey, Mr. Edwin Shoemate, and Dr. Mike Curry all three AIRSS board members and active rural Superintendents. AIRSS is proud of the work we have done on behalf of our members and is excited to be a part of the IASB conference. The opportunity to provide pertinent and relevant information to our rural school leaders is some of the most important work we do as an association. We look forward to future years with Triple-i and adding more sessions to serve our rural schools.
