Paige Maginel, Board Member

Paige Maginel has been the Superintendent of Dongola Unit #66 in Dongola, Illinois, for nine years. Dongola is currently responding to issue facing rural schools, including the teacher shortage, through a partnership with Shawnee Community College. This early college program provides and innovative way to meet local needs and build student success and confidence in the community college setting. Prior to her position in Dongola, Dr. Maginel served in the College of Education and Human Services at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale as a clinical supervisor. She also taught courses in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education including special education law, advanced curriculum techniques, administration of special education, and also a course outlining techniques of inclusion of children with disabilities in general education settings. Dr. Maginel has also served as an adjunct professor for Eastern Illinois University and has co-authored and delivered an Illinois Administrators’ Academy. She is a member of the Illinois Association of School Administrators.
