It is with great sadness that I share that Dr. Jim Beddow, a friend and former Rural Schools Collaborative (RSC) Board Member, passed away on Sunday, June 25 after a brief and unexpected illness.
I had the privilege to serve with Jim on the RSC board and watched him support rural and small schools with care, concern, and compassion. He always asked about AIRSS and Illinois rural schools when we met, and he kept track of many, many states and rural schools. We have lost a true advocate for all rural schools. Jim's Obituary celebrates his life as a South Dakota resident, friend, grandpa, world traveler, and more.
